General Info – Juniors & Little Rocks

We are taking expression of interest in joining us for the 2023-24 season now! You can email us at juniors@royalcitycc.com and let us know you have a curler or three who are interested (previous curlers in our program do not have to send us an email, you will get priority for next season). We will set our costs and other details for the upcoming season in the weeks ahead and finalize things usually by mid-August. We hope to have a few new ideas and plans for next season as well, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, please look over our program details from the 2022-23 season below:

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Saturdays: 12:30 pm to 4 pm (October to March – 18 weeks minimum). Sessions will be 90 minutes long (except Little Rocks, which will be 45 minutes). The exact times and duration will be finalized and sent to all participants in early-to-mid September. Specific groups will be assigned the week of our first “regular” session – Oct. 1st.

We try to maintain a ratio of one coach to every 4-5 curlers. All of our lead coaches are trained at the Club Coach or better level. If you’re interested in coaching with our program, please contact our Junior Program Coordinator below.

“Brooms” and “sliders” are provided, and a limited number of used curling shoes may be available to be signed out for the season.

Please note that Curling Canada and Royal City CC require that curlers under the age of 12 and recommend that all new curlers wear a CSA-approved helmet for ice sports. Royal City CC does not provide helmets or have them available for rent.

Please contact our Junior Program Coordinator, Chris Summers at juniors@royalcitycc.com if you have any questions or would like more information about next season.
