Sunday Novice League
Join our Sunday Novice League! This league is designed to develop novice curlers with the support of experienced players and coaches from our RCCC community. It is recommended for players with 0-2 years of experience or for returning players who have not curled in many years.
About the League
Date & Time: Sundays from September-March | 6:30PM – 8:30PM
Start Date: September 27th, 2026 (End Date: TBD)
Format: Open format, 6-end games
Details: Each team will consist of 3 novice curlers and 1 experienced skip. The skip will be a mentor to their team, coaching technique, strategy, and communication on and off the ice. Before each game, the league coordinator will provide skips with a quick 2-5 minute lesson plan to teach one new thing each week.
What makes this league unique? This league prioritizes learning, development, and, most importantly, fun! To kick off the fun, your registration includes 2 drink tickets!

FAQs
Can I play with a specific skip? Absolutely! If you have a friend or family member who is one of our experienced skips and you’d like to be on their team, enter their name in the Skip Name field. The league coordinator will make sure to keep you all together on one team.
What happens if my team doesn’t have a preferred skip? Don’t worry! We will assign you an amazing skip who is ready to play and coach. You’ll have a great time!
Can my team have more than 3 novice curlers? Yes! You can have more than 3 novice curlers if you’d like to rotate who plays each week.
Can my team have more than 1 skip? Yes! You can have more than 1 skip if your skips would like to rotate who plays each week.
Is there an extra charge for a team with more than 3 novice curlers? No, it is a flat $990 rate for the league. You can choose how you would like to split this cost amongst your team members.
