YouTube Stream Automation
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Royal City Curling Club (“RCCC”) operates the YouTube Stream Automation application to automate the scheduling and management of live video streams for curling events held at Royal City Curling Club.
Google Account and API Data
The YouTube Stream Automation application uses Google OAuth 2.0 to obtain authorized access to specific Google services used by Royal City Curling Club.
The application accesses:
Google Calendar data: The application has read-only access to an authorized Royal City Curling Club Google Calendar. It reads event information such as event titles, descriptions, dates and start/end times in order to determine when scheduled curling live streams should be prepared, started and stopped.
YouTube data: The application accesses the authorized Royal City Curling Club YouTube account to create and manage YouTube live broadcasts and live streams, associate broadcasts with the appropriate streaming configuration, monitor broadcast status, and manage recordings and playlists associated with RCCC live-streamed events.
How Google User Data Is Used
Google user data accessed by the application is used solely to provide the Royal City Curling Club live-stream automation service. Calendar information is used to determine the scheduling and configuration of RCCC live streams. YouTube account access is used to create, configure, manage and archive those live streams.
Google user data obtained through these APIs is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Data Storage
The application may store operational information required to provide the streaming service, including Google Calendar event identifiers, YouTube broadcast and stream identifiers, event scheduling information, processing status, and operational logs.
OAuth credentials and authorization tokens required to access Google services are stored securely on systems operated for Royal City Curling Club and are not intentionally exposed publicly.
Data Sharing
Royal City Curling Club does not sell Google user data obtained by this application.
Google user data obtained through the application is not shared with third parties except where necessary to operate the service, comply with applicable law, protect the security of the service, or as otherwise permitted by the user.
Data Retention and Security
Royal City Curling Club retains application data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and secure the live-stream automation service.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect OAuth credentials and application data against unauthorized access, disclosure or misuse.
Revoking Access
Access to Google services may be revoked at any time through the authorized Google Account’s security settings. Revoking access will prevent the YouTube Stream Automation application from continuing to access the associated Google Calendar and YouTube services.
Google API Services
The application’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the functionality of the YouTube Stream Automation application or its use of Google services changes. The current version will be published on this page.
