Monday Night Ladies Recreational League

Looking for a welcoming, fun, and relaxed place to learn to curl?  Join our Monday Night Ladies Recreational League — the perfect spot for all skill levels, whether you’re new to the sport or an intermediate curler looking to sharpen your game.  We offer ongoing weekly on-ice coaching, to build confidence and skills as you play.  You’ll experience lots of improvement throughout the season. Whether you’re signing up solo, as a pair, or with a full team, you’re welcome here! Our motto says it all:  Come to Learn; Stay for the Fun…

When: Monday evenings (alternating draws; 6:45 and 9:00pm)

Two Sessions of 10wks: Sept to December and January to March (Sign-up for one, the other or both!)
Cost: $225/session (includes an on-ice coach every week)

Blue Goose League

Season:  Our season runs from the beginning of October into the middle of March.

Time: Thursdays 5:00pm to 7:00pm

We are one of the founding leagues at the Royal City Curling club, that play for fun and make the sport of curling a social event! We are an open league that welcome curlers of any gender and any talent level.

This league is ideal for:

  • Curlers new to the game
  • Those who have completed our Try Curling Clinics and are wanting to learn and experience the game of curling

Wednesday Open Doubles at the Royal City is all about fostering fun, inclusivity and skill development in Curling’s fastest growing format. Current league teams represent a diverse mix of age, gender, skill sets and goals. Come join us as a single, double or larger team.

Friday Night TGIF

TGIF: Friday Night Curling
Time: This adult mixed fun league curls every Friday from 7:00 – 9:00pm
Season: September – March

We are a group of people who enjoy curling and welcome others regardless of age or skill ability, although for new curlers, we recommend the two session “Try Curling” clinics that start mid-September which is prior to our league’s first game. See the section Try Curling for more details.

We will accept individuals, couples, and teams. Individuals as well as couples will be placed on a team, while trying to make balanced mixed teams through the draw process working with the club’s skips.

Teams are welcome to join as mixed teams with a minimum of one member of the opposite sex.

League structure consists of 3 divisions: A, B and C with new teams placed in Div C as a starter. After the season starts, twice through the year or as the executive deems necessary, teams will have the opportunity to rise to the next level or lowered to the level below to assisting keeping divisions balanced and equally competitive.

Following the game, enjoy the opportunity to connect with the opposition or other members of TGIF in the lounge.

Friday Night (Coastal)

Season: October thru March
Time: Friday at 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm excluding holiday weekends

This is the longest running league in BC, originally founded by construction tradespeople, contractors, suppliers and engineers.  Our league is now open to everyone including rookies and experts, both individuals and company sponsored teams.  The start time gets you out of the office a little early on Fridays, while leaving your whole night open so the spouse won’t mind!

Our league is ideal for new and entry level curlers offering ongoing on ice instruction as you learn the finer details of the game.  We welcome curlers of all backgrounds and skill levels, singles, doubles, teams.
